VULAfili OF ORONn <br />Regular 'Iceting of the Plnnning Coinpission. <br />January Ifl, 1971 <br />The Planning Commission met on the above <br />(late with the following members present: <br />Giairraan Poisson, Elliott, Gasch, Ktihlcmeier, <br />Kullbcrg, Nicholls, Pnrten. and Russell. <br />Absent: Dartig and nongosko. <br />Woman Larson represented Jiiraself in an <br />application for rezoning his property at <br />3SOS«3507 Wayznta Boulevard from R-IC to <br />I. He explained that he was bounded on one <br />side by tic railroad, on anot!ier by Highway <br />il2, and the Eisinger sanitary landfill <br />on the other. Poisson then asked if anybody <br />wisiied to be heard. Howard Eisinger stated <br />that he was of the opinion there should be <br />no spot zoning and that the entire area <br />between Highway »l2 and the railroad up to <br />Old Crystal Bay Poad should be considered <br />in the rezoning. Since nobody else <br />wislied to be heard. <br />Kussell moved, Kullbcrg seconded, that the <br />rezoning be recommended. lotion. Ayes (7) - <br />Ways (1). Gasch Nay. After the motion had <br />been made and passed, Roy Haglund asked for <br />tiie reason for the rezoning and members <br />explained tJiis property was in a long range <br />plan for I zoning. Gasch asked for a <br />statement from the assessor as to what <br />effect the rezoning would have on the <br />valuation for tax purposes of adjacent <br />properties. lenbers advised Ir. Larson <br />tliat there could be no residential usage of <br />I property under our zoning ordinances. <br />John Taylor represented »alcolm lackay in <br />an application for division of property at <br />1245 Sixth Avenue North. He explained the <br />topo from a map presented. Discuss ion was <br />held on the road and utility casement <br />servicing the property. <br />Russell moved, Elliott seconded, that the <br />division be approved. lotion. Ayes (R) - <br />Nays (0). <br />Poisson read a ’'illage Council memo asking <br />the Planning Commission to consider an <br />amendment to the zoning ordinance to <br />establish a 3/4 acre residential zone. <br />7:30 P.M. <br />(Continued) <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />Rezoning - Larson <br />DIVISION <br />1245 Sixth Avenue North <br />ZONING ORDINANCE <br />amendment
