VILLAGE OF ORONO <br />Regular Meeting of the Planning Commission. <br />September 18, 1972 7:30 P.M. <br />The Planning Commission met on the above <br />date with the following members present: <br />Chairman pro tern ICullberg, Elliott, Gasch, <br />Nicholls, Searles, and Van Nest. Absent: <br />Cnairman Poisson, Hays, Kokesh, Ryerse, and <br />Southworth. <br />Gasch moved, Searles seconded, that the <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of <br />September 6, 1972, be approved. Motion, <br />Ayes (6) - Nays (0). <br />MINUTES <br />Robert Dongoske appeared to answer questions <br />regarding a division of Lot 7, ^lock 2, <br />Forest Arms. Tlie original plat provided a <br />31* easement from the channel to"Lot 7. <br />Block 2. He nm/ wished to continue this <br />easement through Lot 7 to provide access <br />for Lots 1 through 5, BIock 1 of the same <br />subdivision. He stated that he did not <br />intend to store boats in the channel, that <br />it was merely to place small sailboats or <br />canoes in the lake for people owning these <br />lots. <br />DIVISION <br />Forest Arms <br />i <br />% <br />Searles moved, Nicholls seconded, that approval <br />be recommended conditioned on: <br />1. Docks and storage limited by Lake Minnetonka <br />Conservation District standards. <br />2. No in-water storage of boats. <br />Motion, Ayes (6) - Nays (0). <br />Joseph Lofrano represented himself in an <br />application for a garage side setback of <br />4* instead of the required 10* and rear <br />setback of 10* instead of the required 30* <br />VARIANCE <br />3365 Crystal Bay Road <br />Members studied alternatives to the application <br />as submitted. After satisfying themselves <br />that the alternatives had drawbacks and <br />concluding that : <br />1.There was a need for a garage. <br />O 2. The area is built up and is unique <br />in-so-far-as lot size and widt.i. <br />3. Otiier variances have been granted in <br />the area for the same reasons. <br />(Continued)
