Regular ileetin <br />August 21, 197 <br />VILLAGE OF ORONO <br />of tiie Planning Commission, <br />The Planning Commission met on the above <br />date with the following members present: <br />Caairman Poisson, Elliott, Hays, ICokesh, <br />Ryerse, Searles, Southworth, and Van Hest. <br />Kokesh arrived late, Elliott left early« <br />Council members ptesent: Mayor Oberhauser, <br />Councilmen Butler, .iassengale. and McCarthy. <br />Present from the Park Commission: »astny, <br />ifatson, and !fysocky. <br />7:30 P.M. <br />Tom Loucks passed out copies of the letter to <br />be sent out to Orono citizens inviting them <br />to the community seminars in September. A <br />recommendation was made that the first sentence <br />be changed so that it would be understood <br />that all interested citizens are invited, not <br />only those wiiose names were selected. <br />Discussion was held on announcing the seminars <br />in both the Mound and Wayzata Sun Newspapers <br />and the metropolitan newspapers and an effort <br />be made to get TV exposure. <br />Searles, Gasch, and Van Nest were cnosen to <br />promote the publicity. Searles stated ne had <br />met with I.D.S. on tneir Navarre project. He <br />suggested the seminars would be a good time <br />to get the peoples thinking on this project. <br />PLANNER - TO. I LOUCKS <br />Gasch moved, Searles seconded, that the <br />fiuutes of the Regular ?leeting of August 7, <br />1972, bo approved. Motion, Ayes (9) - Nays (0). <br />MINUTES <br />James McCleary represented himself in an <br />application for lot size, setback variance. <br />Members asked him to get a survey showing the <br />private road as it is now, the easement as it <br />is platted, and the site of the home he <br />proposes, and present them at the next meeting. <br />John Keller represented himself in an <br />application for a lot size and width <br />variance on Lots 4 Q 5, Skarp and Lind<tuists <br />for the purpose of constructing a home on the <br />site. Brought out: <br />1. A sewer unit assessment has been placed <br />on the two lots. <br />2.
