Mr. Bisinger stated it <br />would be very limited usage if he could only <br />use the area 5* elevation above the watertable. <br />CounciIwoman Butler spoke from the floor <br />saying there should be recognition of the <br />fact that a landfill operation in this site <br />would be a public service. <br />Van Nest moved, Searles seconded, taat due <br />to the adverse report from the Minnehaha <br />Creek Watershed District and Mr. Mills, the <br />petition for the variance should be denied. <br />Motion, Ayes (7) - Nays (0). <br />Kullberg wished to be on record that if Mr. <br />Eisinger could conduct his operation on <br />property 5’ above the watertable, he would <br />be in favor of granting the variance. <br />Douglas Dayton represented himself along ^1rith <br />Dennis Trisler from Brauer B Associates in <br />an application for a variance from Municipal <br />Ordinance NO. 125 to construct ponding areas <br />for wildlife on his proerty at 300 Sixth <br />Avenue North, ile presented letters from the <br />U.S.D.A, and U.S.D.I. stating they iirere in <br />complete accord with his objectives. He also <br />had letters from neighbors saying they. were <br />in complete accord with the project. Mr, <br />Dayton stated it was hard to say how much of <br />anything done on private property could be <br />strictly in the public interest. <br />Searles moved, Herfurth seconded, that since <br />the project was in conformance with the intent <br />of tne ordinance, recommendation should be <br />made for approval of the variance. Motion, <br />Ayes (7) - Ways CO)* <br />Ray Mithun represented himself in an application <br />for a division of 1.7 acres into four lots. It <br />was determined that wliile the proposed division <br />showed four lots, ilr.
