After his explanation, Southwortn <br />asked if the Metro studies would be used <br />in his work and Mr. Louck stated tiiey would <br />be as this eliminated mucii of the preliminary <br />work necessary to augment the study. Gasch <br />asked if tnis study would show methods of <br />funding for projects, such as sewers projected. <br />Mr. Louck stated they would show guidelines <br />but would not make specific recommendations <br />in the matter of funding. I’embers thanked <br />;ir. Louck for nis presentation. <br />BRAIJER 5 ASSOCIATES <br />Tom Louck <br />The Lake Minnetonka Conservation District <br />Lakeshore Policy was now discussed. Elliott <br />stated that in her discussion wita a number <br />of people, her findings were that the biggest <br />opposition to the policy was: <br />L.M.c.D. LAKESHORE POLICT <br />a. The policy was giving the L.M.C.D. too <br />much control of land use. <br />b. Tlie people on lakeshore would be penalized <br />by having to create berms and ponding to <br />prevent runoff. <br />c. Would prevent landscaping. <br />Massengale stated he thought one undesirable <br />feature was tiie fact that people owning <br />lakesiiore would have to take care of t.ie <br />problems of adjacent off-shore lots in the <br />matter of runoff. It was unanimously <br />agreed that another two weeks of study <br />should be done before a recommendation be made. <br />Kullberg moved, Gasch seconded, t.iat <br />Southwortn be chosed for chairman pro tern to <br />serve in the absence of Poisson.
