VILLAGE OF ORONO i 1 <br />Regular Meeting of the Planning Coanission, <br />April 3, 1972 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />The Planning Cowaission met on the above <br />date with the following members present: <br />C.iairman Poisson, Elliott, Gasch, Mays, <br />Kullberg, Ryerse, Southworth, and Council <br />man Massengale. Absent: Herfurth, <br />Wicholls, Searles, and Van Nest. Also <br />present: Scheller, Martin, and Acting Itayor <br />Dorn. <br />Elliot? ai ved, Ryerse seconded, that the <br />Minutes ol the Regular meeting of March 20, <br />1972, be approved. Motion, Ayes (6) - <br />Nays (0). <br />MINUTES <br />O <br />Richard Wright represented himself in a <br />petition for a variance on lot size on a <br />combination of Lots 4-5-6, Block 9, Minne <br />tonka Summit Park, Parcel 512 5. Soutliworth <br />asked when the lots were purchased and Mr. <br />Wrignt replied in 1965. Members determined <br />the lots had been in single separate ownership <br />since 1967. Itr. Wright stated they own a <br />home a short distance from this lot and it <br />has become too small. They like the area-- <br />the reason they purchased tiie lots. Elliott <br />stated the members should strive for consistency <br />in is!»iing recommendations for variances. <br />It was determined that there were many lots <br />of the same size and smaller in the area <br />and that a variance had been granted in 196R <br />on a 50* lot in the same addition. <br />LOT SIZE VARIANCE <br />4035 Elm Street <br />« <br />Scutnworth moved, Ryerse seconded, taat the <br />variance should be recommended conditioned <br />that before any building permit could be <br />allowed it would be determined there should <br />be full compliance with the septic ordinance. <br />Massengale asked Mr. Wright if he could <br />purchase more land to combine with this lot. <br />Mr. Wright stated he was negotiating to pick <br />up extra lots if the price was in his range. <br />Motion, Ayes (6) - Nays (0). <br />^ 4 <br />i ^ <br />Dave Sherman represented I.D.S. in an <br />application for a division of Lot 13, Langdon <br />Park. <br />O Poisson read a memo stating the purpose of <br />the division was to transfer a piece of land <br />50' X 225' from Lot 13 to Lot 12. The reason <br />given was the house on lot 12 was encroaching <br />on Lot 13, and since the. land being divided <br />was in a man-made lagoon and had no value for <br />(Continued)
