' VILLAGE OF ORON^' <br />Reralar rteeting of the Planning Commission, <br />February 22, 1972 <br />The Planning Commission met on the above date <br />with the following members present: Chair <br />man Poisson, Gasch, Hays, Herfurth, Kullberg, <br />Nicholls, Searles, Southworth, and Councilman <br />Massengale. Absent: Elliott, Kuhlemeier, <br />and Ryerse. Herfurth late. Kullberg left <br />at 7:30 P.M. <br />6:30 P.M. <br />Searles moved, Kullberg seconded, that the <br />Minutes of the meeting of February 7, 1972, <br />be approved. Motion, Ayes (7) - Nays (0). <br />MINUTES <br />O <br />James Lindsay informally appeared to inquire <br />as to procedure to use a residentially roned <br />property at 2308 Shadywood Road for an <br />antique shop. Wlien rezoning was brougnt up, <br />Searles was of the opinion that since there <br />was so much undeveloped comercial property <br />in Navarre already, it was not advisable to <br />proceed along this method. Ifenbers concurred <br />that the best procedure would be to apply <br />for a formal conditional use permit and <br />present it to the Planning Commission at <br />another meeting. <br />Discussion was held on the proposed usage of <br />the William Hear property at 2120 Wayrata <br />Boulevard for a service station site. A <br />letter, on record from Sid Rebers, the <br />adjacent property owner, was read stating <br />his reservations to the proposed usage. <br />Members concurred that the area, due to <br />contour of tne highway did pose a traffic <br />problem and that further study should be <br />made of the area. It was unanimously agreed <br />the natter should be tabled for further studye <br />Members studied the half-section map for <br />density in the area. <br />Searles moved, Herfurth seconded, that the <br />variance approval be recommended since: <br />1. Tile lot is larger tiian other lots in <br />the same block. <br />2. A sewer unit assessment has been placed <br />on tne property. <br />3.
