The camp is known as "Camp Teko ”. Camp Teko <br />is a summer camp, with some occasional fall/winter/spring use. Simmer camp sessions last about <br />12 weeks. I here is a full-time caretaker that is in residence on the property sear round. The campers <br />and staff total approximately 250 users. <br />Camp 1 cko is seeking approval for construction, upgrading and repairs to buildings and trails on the <br />property. .Mong with the upgrading and repairs, they are trying to make the property handicapped <br />accessible. 1 he Temple Israel board had a handicapped accessibility consultant visit the camp, walk <br />it with them, and provide them a report with practical access solutions. Many of those <br />ideas'solutions are included in this proposed plan. <br />The property is located in the LR-1B district which lists “camps”’ as a conditional use. The property <br />recently was granted a conditional use permit for construction of a toilet/shower facility constructed <br />near the street and a 40’ X 60’ open picnic pavilion. <br />This propo.sal consists of three building projects and ten trail projects.
