Mao, the Zoning Adtadnistrator read a report <br />the VUlage Engineer infoening the developer more ocncdAte <br />plans and apecificatiaas mid be necessary before review <br />could be made. <br />Qie OcBinission gave their attention to a proposed Hesdlutlon <br />forwarded to them by the Village Council for their <br />The Besolittion «fas addressed to the Hennepin County Board <br />ents. <br />of ODBmisBioners protesting the budget cut of the Hennepin <br />County Itoter Patrol and requesting that the organization be <br />maintained at its present level. Vian Nest moved, Dunlap <br />seconded, that the Planning Conmission fully support the <br />intent of the HesolutiGn entitled "A Be solution To Maintain <br />The Water Patrol At Its Present Level” but suggest the fol <br />lowing he added or revised to read: (1) Paragraph 1 - <br />liiareas, Orono has in its boundaries at least 40% of the <br />shoreline of Lake Minnetonka. Also Big Island and Deering <br />Island having a population of about 125 people. Th It <br />lands have no other souroe of protection except the . nn^dn <br />Ccunty Witer Patrol. There are numerous hemes with alarm <br />jpsystems, also, seven marinas that are subject to theft of <br />Gboats and motors via water (2) (Addition) - Wiereas, Hen <br />nepin County surveys indicate 75% of weekend boat population <br />is from outside the Lake Mimetchka area. (3) (Addition) - <br />Wiereas, Hennepin County Water Patrol enforces State Snow <br />mobile Regulation on the Lake. Motion, Ayes (7) - Hays (0). <br />Van NSst moved, Dunlap seconded, that the Planning Cenmission <br />recoBmend to the Council that they draft a Resolution for pre <br />sentation at the Metro Waste Control Conmission Public Hearing <br />to be held Deoenfeer 4, 1975, stating that use of the intercep <br />tor be restricted within the boundaries of Orono as it would <br />not be oonpatible with the Orono Conprehensive Land Use Plan <br />and would create urban development and a far greater pollution <br />ispact to the Lcdce Minnetonka area thru stozm water runoff. <br />Motion, Ayes (7) - Nays (0). <br />The Planning Conmission after review and discussion of the <br />proposed Hemepin Coun^ Trans] <br />the Council that the Council prepare a Resolution and record <br />that the Village of Orono will not accept the <br />portation Plan being that it is contrary to the village of <br />e M •!the.County <br />system is devoid of the proposed ring route <br />Ofl scenic parkways designated on the transportation plans <br />previously submitted <br />Hannah moved, Guthrie saaonded, that the meeting be adjourned <br />at 11:05 P.M.
