# <br />o <br />o <br />Regular Meeting of the Planning Conmissicn 6-16-75 <br />Mr. Compton presented his request for variance from <br />side setbacks in order to construct a bam to house <br />his animals. He also rec^ested a Conditional Use to <br />allcM 15 animal units on his land. <br />Van Nest moved, Hake seconded recomnendation to Council <br />for approval of the variance due to the shape of the <br />lot and concurrence of ne labors and approval of the <br />Conditional Use for additional animal units, subject <br />to continued concurrence by the neighbors. Motion, <br />Ayes (7), Nay (0). <br />Ms. Overby and her nephew presented her request for <br />a variance from lot size. Hake moved, Hannah seconded <br />recomnendation to Council to grant this variance because <br />of nonavailability of land on either side and front <br />setback to be confoiming with neighboring homes. Motion, <br />Ayes (7), Nay (0). <br />Mr. Toman, Duke Schneider from Fredrick Herfiirth <br />Real Estate, and Mrs. Backstrom presented their <br />request for lot split and combination. Van Nest <br />mo>^. Hake seconded recomnendation to Council for <br />approval of this request. Motion, Ayes (7), Nay (0). <br />Mr. and Mrs. Wright made their request for variance. <br />Muhich explained the background for the request for lot <br />size variance. <br />Van Nest r,oved. Hake seconded approval provided that <br />Lots 4, 5, 6 be combined into one and no other variance <br />be granted. Motion, Ayes (7), Nay (0). <br />Dr. Woellner and Mr. Stone explained the request by <br />the Wayzata Yacht Club for a conditional use permit <br />to operate a playground, picnic area and dock on pro <br />perty leased from Mr. Stone on Big Island. <br />Vsm Nest moved, McDonald seconded recommendation that <br />Council grant this Conditional Use for the life of the <br />lease with annual review, that no permanent structure <br />be erected with the exception of a portable chemical <br />toilet, no permanent mooring or docking of boats <br />either sail or motor with the exception of the owner, <br />who has the right to his own dockage. Motion, Ayes <br />(7), Nay (0). <br />The Planning Commission, upon recomnendation of Council <br />made further comment on the Hennepin County Transporta <br />tion Study in relation to population and growth.
