# o o Regular Meeting of the Planning Conmissicn 6-16-75 Mr. Compton presented his request for variance from side setbacks in order to construct a bam to house his animals. He also rec^ested a Conditional Use to allcM 15 animal units on his land. Van Nest moved, Hake seconded recomnendation to Council for approval of the variance due to the shape of the lot and concurrence of ne labors and approval of the Conditional Use for additional animal units, subject to continued concurrence by the neighbors. Motion, Ayes (7), Nay (0). Ms. Overby and her nephew presented her request for a variance from lot size. Hake moved, Hannah seconded recomnendation to Council to grant this variance because of nonavailability of land on either side and front setback to be confoiming with neighboring homes. Motion, Ayes (7), Nay (0). Mr. Toman, Duke Schneider from Fredrick Herfiirth Real Estate, and Mrs. Backstrom presented their request for lot split and combination. Van Nest mo>^. Hake seconded recomnendation to Council for approval of this request. Motion, Ayes (7), Nay (0). Mr. and Mrs. Wright made their request for variance. Muhich explained the background for the request for lot size variance. Van Nest r,oved. Hake seconded approval provided that Lots 4, 5, 6 be combined into one and no other variance be granted. Motion, Ayes (7), Nay (0). Dr. Woellner and Mr. Stone explained the request by the Wayzata Yacht Club for a conditional use permit to operate a playground, picnic area and dock on pro perty leased from Mr. Stone on Big Island. Vsm Nest moved, McDonald seconded recommendation that Council grant this Conditional Use for the life of the lease with annual review, that no permanent structure be erected with the exception of a portable chemical toilet, no permanent mooring or docking of boats either sail or motor with the exception of the owner, who has the right to his own dockage. Motion, Ayes (7), Nay (0). The Planning Commission, upon recomnendation of Council made further comment on the Hennepin County Transporta tion Study in relation to population and growth.
