PLANNING COMMISSION MINIHIS OF JANUARY 20, 1975 <br />(^thrie Boved, Pesek seconded, conceptual approval <br />contingent on the developnent of standards and adop <br />tion of ailtiple direlling zone by the Village or Orono; <br />at the tine nidtiple dwelling zone is adopted by the <br />Village, we would consider application for rezoning <br />at that tiae. Also conceptual approval is contingent <br />on sewer service availability fron the Long Lake <br />systen. Notion, Ayes (8), Nay (0). <br />G^h suggested that Mr. Gagne check with the State <br />Higliiray Department about their proposed plans for this <br />intersection. <br />Mr. Ah^ presented his request for a variance to remodel <br />the existing for use as attached garage to a <br />newly constructed dieelling. <br />Curtis moved, Guthrie seconded to table this request <br />until we have advice from the Village Attorney, and <br />lot set backs and dimensions of the house. Motion, <br />Ayes (7), Nay (1) Pesek. Hake suggested that Mr. Ahlm's <br />attorney talk with the. Village Attorney. <br />Guthrie explained to the new menbers the definitions <br />of marinas in Orono, and the possible need for estab <br />lishing different marina categories. <br />Guthrie read a letter from James McCleary of Stubbs Bay <br />Marina. (This marina does not sell boats, but has slips <br />for rent, and a tavern with beer and set up license). <br />He is requesting the inclusion of restaurants into <br />marina use. <br />Discuss i<Mi followed on the iiqpact of adding restaurants <br />into the B-2 zone. <br />It was felt that Stubbs Bay Marina should be closed as <br />a full service restaurant and should be iimediately <br />reverted to permitted conditional use of "snack" foods. <br />Question was raised udiether Planning Commission wants <br />to continue to allow set ups in a B-2 area. <br />After reviewal by Planning Commission, McDonald moved, <br />Pesek seconded recomeendation to Council that the new <br />B-2 zoning ordinance be enforced, including Stubbs Bay Marina. <br />O <br />■/ ':':m <br />■ "*1 <br />-2 <br />Re zoning (contiiued) <br />William Gagne <br />VARIANCE <br />Art Ahlm <br />1331 North Arm Drive <br />MARINA LICENSING <br />Stubbs Bay Marina <br />r
