When <br />property was purchased Orono records showed that a variance had <br />recently been approved for previous owner allowing for one family <br />dwelling construction. As I understood, the reason for a variance <br />was due to the odd size of lots only measuring 75 ft. rather than <br />the required 100 feet on one end. <br />Subsequently, the Orono Sanitary Sewer Project 73-1 was completed <br />and caused the taxes for th.s property to increase considerably. <br />This increase was due to the special sower assessment which is <br />predicated on one dwelling unit. <br />J
