ii: <br />, <br />'1 <br />iJ <br />> <br />lA <br />r <br />MINUTES OF A PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 26, 1979 <br />The Planning Commission met on the above date. <br />Present were the following members: Chairman <br />Wilson, Hurr, Hannah, Hammerel, Frahm and McDonald, <br />Mabusth represented the City staff. <br />Wilson announced the Public Information Meeting on <br />Steven Valek's subdivision request. Mabusth stated <br />that she had the Affidavit t*ublication and the <br />Certificate of Mailing. Mr. Valek was present. <br />Mabusth briefly explained the request to the public <br />present. Neighbors present were: Mr. Howard <br />McCurdy, 1130 North Shore Drive West, Mr, Jack <br />Frost, 1120 North Shore Drive West, and Mr, James <br />Thompson, 4750 North Shore Drive. A new survey <br />had been enclosed in the packet showing all <br />buildings. The main concern of the public present <br />was that the proposed filling of a wet area would <br />cause flooding of Mr. McCurdy’s and Mr, Frost’s <br />properties. It was also stated that a front yard <br />setback variance of 18’ would be needed for the <br />existing Palmer residence. <br />•f.' <br />Hannah moved to grant preliminary approval to <br />the plat contingent upon: <br />1) The effects of the proposed plat on the <br />natural drainage area defined by the <br />neighboring property owners be resolved <br />by staff before final approval. <br />18’ front yard setback variance for <br />principle structure on Lot 1, Block 1. <br />Plat road to be designated as a 60’ outlot <br />City to obtain underlying road and utility <br />easement. <br />Cost of sewer and road construction to be <br />assumed by developer. <br />Developer to enter into a Conservation and <br />Flowage easement with the City. <br />Payment of a park dedication fee to be <br />determined for seven lots. <br />Motion seconded by McDonald, Vote: Ayes (6), <br />Nays (0).
