# f <br />i'-u <br />age 2 <br />[lORS WORLD <br />L Marina <br />mse <br />•'.I <br />" /"':a <br />MINUTES OF THE MARINA COMMITTEE MEETING OF MARCH 11, 1981 Page 3 <br />6) Comnittee wants an updated inspection report by <br />the Fire Marshall of the storage and use of gas <br />oline on the premises. <br />7) All wood used in construction of docks must be <br />untreated - building inspector to report. <br />Hurr moved to table action on the 1981 marina license <br />application of Sailors World pending receipt of the <br />following in for-?', at ion from the applicant and staff: <br />'I <br />Applicant to submit a plan designating the existing <br />and proposed landscaping, location of satellite and <br />proposed gas tanks. <br />Staff to report: <br />a) significance of a "district mooring area" - al <br />lowed setbacks, grandfather question <br />b) update by Fire Marshall <br />c) L.M.C.D's review concerning slips 25, 26, 27 <br />extending beyond 200' setback line. <br />d) report on material used in dock construction by <br />building inspector. <br />Motion seconded by Jabbour. Vote: Ayes (3), Nays (0). <br />Larry Hork and Bruce Douglas, applicant's attorney, NORTH SHORE MARINA <br />were present. Members were concerned that no action 1981 Marina Licens <br />had been taken on the 1980 Marina license application. <br />The committee agreed that action be taken on last <br />year's license application before they can consider <br />the current application. <br />Hurr moved to deny the 1980 Marina license application <br />si^ject to the findings that substantiate the many <br />violations of both City and L.M.C.D. ordinances. <br />Motion seconded by Jabbour. Vote: Ayes (3), Nays (0). <br />Douglas asked that the committee reconsider the motion <br />because of the many unanswered questions that remain <br />concerning North Shore Marina. Committee stated <br />that they are just a recommending body and that Council <br />need not accept the recommendation. <br />Hork and Douglas stated that "grandfather credit" should <br />be considered for marinas long in operation. Douglas <br />questioned the legal definition of dock use area. It <br />would appear that that area is continually being redefined.
