Schmitt <br />President <br />Parkview Centers, Inc. <br />3705 Park Center Blvd. <br />St. Louis Park, Minn. 55416 <br />Dear Mr. Schmitt: <br />Per your request of May 28, 1981, requesting information for the <br />City of Orono, I have made inquiries of our patrol personnel, <br />detective personnel, and Sergeants, pertaining to the three (3) <br />questions you asked. <br />1. In regards to problems with the treatment center, <br />several of our officers stated that they did not know <br />it existed. A check of our files shows no problems and <br />I recall no negative conments. <br />2. Again, everything I have heard about the treatment center <br />has been positive, and we have encountered no problems. Our <br />detectives have had contact with Pay Myers in referring <br />juvenile persons to him, and they have spoken very positively <br />of their working relationship with the Minnetonka School <br />District and the chemical dependency area. Detective Ivars <br />Upens also expresses his positive feelings about the program <br />and encourages its utilization by the City of Orono. He also <br />advises that the Hennepin County Advisory Committee uses the <br />facilities for their meetings, which has enhanced the overall <br />picture of the program for the participants. <br />3. We have not had any negative feedback of the center, <br />I apologize for the delay in this matter, and hope that this meets <br />with your needs.
