Mr. <br />Lindsay stated that it was his understanding that the dock <br />issue was addressed at the time of tlie subdivision approval <br />The Zoning Administrator read the minutes of the July 26, <br />lii26. Council meeting which did not reflect this.1^ <br />The Planning Commission ad'.i.sed Mr. Lindsay that Orono's <br />policy on docks docs not allow rore family units than <br />there is adequate lal;e.shore. Policy is airrently related <br />to lot width requirements. There were no facts before <br />the Conaission to address the dock issue. Dcielopcr was <br />instructed to submit some additional data. ?hyor Van N’est <br />informed the developer that the L'ICD was considering <br />limiting riparian rights to a shoreline distance of 100 <br />ft. In any development, each 100 ft. of shoreline wuld <br />constitute one riparian right. <br />.\fter sene discussion, llassel moved, Guthrie seconded, to <br />reccKTtnend approval of the PRD and duplex credit for tJic <br />construction of tigo new structures within 200 ft. of the <br />comcrcial zone which is required in order to obtain this <br />credit. In no way docs this grant approval of any dock <br />permits at this time. .Applicant would need to make sub <br />sequent application, ffetion - Ayes (6), Nays (0), <br />/'hstain (1), McDonald. <br />Mrs. Beck and her son JaiX'S Beck were present.
