V....' <br />#720 DOUG deMALIGNON <br />925 SOUTH WILLOW DRIVE <br />'•y <br />ISLAND ORDINANCE <br />#718 THOMAS CROSBY <br />745 SPRING HILL ROAD <br />Mr, Doug deMalignon and family were present, also <br />present regarding this application was C. Steven <br />Wilson, the attorney for Mr. H.R. Johnston, the <br />developer of the property. <br />Mr. deMalignon presented pictures for the <br />Commission to view regarding the trellis that has <br />been put up that is 8' in height. It was stated <br />that the applicant wanted to put up a 8' privacy <br />fence in front of the trellis so that his property <br />would not be visaJale from the road. <br />The staff had felt that this fence would create a <br />sight problem for the west access. Mr. deMalignon <br />stated he felt that there was not a problem with <br />vision, he stated that the road itself causes a <br />vision problem. <br />Kelley moved, McDonald seconded, to table this <br />height and setback variance application pending <br />review by the City Engineer, Glenn Cook for any <br />safety problems created by che proposed structure <br />in relation to level of traffic use. The delay <br />will also allow adequate time to notify Mr. Johnston <br />a neighbor and developer, of the surrounding property <br />of the proposal. Motion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0). <br />Callahan abstained because of conflict as he is a <br />law partner of Mr. Wilson's. <br />411*' <br />Mayor Van Nest was present as Council Representative <br />and he reviewed the Island Ordinance with the Commi <br />ssion and reminded them that there would be a meeting <br />on December 28, 1982 to vote on this ordinance. <br />Mr. Crosby was present. Mr. Crosby proposes a metes <br />and bounds division of one of his properties totaling <br />24.5 acres in area. The subdivision will create a <br />8 acre lot. <br />A public hearing was set for January 17, 1983 for this <br />application.
