TO: <br />FRCM: <br />QIVTC: <br />SUBJECT: <br />Dick Benson, City Administrator <br />Hank Hihich, Building 5 Zoning Administrator <br />June 17, 1976 <br />Super Vain - 3333 Shoreline Drive <br />Site ^ Drainage Plan Review <br />HI <br />The developer has submitted revised plans showing the layout of the project <br />and the proposed drainage for the area, lliese revisions are a great ii^srove- <br />ment to the original plans in that some of the hard surfaced parking lot <br />drains into the storm drain located on County Road #'19. I've also suggested <br />to the developer that he might look into the possibility of draining the roof <br />of the structure into the same storm drain on County Koad #19. <br />They are anxious to get started with the excavating and grading and are there <br />fore requesting approval of these plans so we can issue a foundation permit. <br />PLANNI.NG O>WISSI0N MHETING - June 21, 1976 <br />The plans as submitted designated a terraced ponding area to the south of the <br />proDOsed structure. The Planning Ccimnission was concerned with tnih design <br />because of the possibility of destroying the n.atural screening ares through <br />construction of the ponding areas or through extended, excessive water reten <br />tion periods. <br />The Planning Commission recorinended approval of the rite plan subject to: <br />(a) eliminating these ponding areas to preserve the foliage, (b) eliminating <br />tlie asphalt spillway along Kelly Avenue, (c) cutting the length of the <br />asphalt spillway along the bank property line, (d) diwrting roof drainage <br />to stoim sewer line Cxxmty Road #19, (e) retaining the parking lot drainage <br />as shown on the plan. <br />COUNCIL MEETING - June 28, 1976 <br />Revised plans were submitted as per Planning Conmission recommendations except <br />that the roof drainage still went toward Kelly Avenue. The Council appro\ed <br />the grading, drainage and foundatiqp plans provided the roof drainage is <br />directed to the storm sewer and subject to a resolution to be drafted con <br />cerning all aspects of the development. The remainder of tiic building will <br />be presented for review wljen plans are completed. <br />July 9,^1976 <br />I am enclosing copies of the latest site plans aiul building elevations foi <br />your review and approval. The site plans include the changes in drainage <br />design, screening and landscaping. <br />i <br />]
