Hie Planning Comnission felt this was more <br />than a service station and would generate more traffic <br />into this area. Mr. Steinman stated they would be <br />willing to close off the access closest to the comer of <br />County Road 15 6 19 which they feel would help eliminate <br />some of the congestion at this intersection. <br />Van Nest moved, Hannah seconded, that this mplication <br />be denied based on the following: <br />(1) Traffic Hazard resulting from traffic generating <br />business. <br />(2) Application is for additional service beyond <br />normal service stations in the area. <br />(3) Two relatively new service stations on comer now. <br />Rirther r^omnend that staff be instructed to have <br />this application reviewed by legal counsel and <br />after City Couicil reaches a decision, the City <br />Attorney draft up resolution to be reviei^ by the <br />Planning Comnission at next meeting. <br />Motion - Ayes (8), Nays (0). <br />The Planning Comnission delayed iqjproval of the minutes <br />until later in the meeting. <br />The Planning Comnission reviewed proposed schedule of <br />shooting dates and hours for 1977 submitted to staff on <br />Septenter 17, 1976. Hie Planning Comnission felt there <br />were discrepancies in this proposed schedule and that it <br />was very confusing. Mr. Maas, President of the Parh Gun <br />Club, explained the lade of sufficient time to submit a <br />more detailed schedule. Mr. Coffin would do the survey <br />during the first two w'eeles of October. <br />Mr. L. Laidlaw and Mr. Earl Hanson, nei^ors to the Park <br />dm Club, were present. Hiey felt the Park Gun Club was <br />a good cause and they had no objectioi to the hours of <br />operation or the noise. <br />After some discussion, Hannah moved, McDonald seconded, <br />to table the matrer until the October 18 meeting to allow <br />the Park am Clih rare time to provide more detailed <br />mfonnation regarding the survey, schedule of dates and <br />hours, and future pl^ for some type of sound buffer. <br />The Planning Comnission also recomnended that the shooting <br />permit ^ extended to allow them to comply until a decision <br />IS reached. Request Council approval of this extension. <br />Motion - Ayes (8), Nays (0). <br />Hake moved, Hannah seconded, to table this matter until <br />the next meeting as applicant was not present and had not <br />suimitted the necessary data.
