Work aad Recoaiaieadatioat. <br />The Joint Long Lake Fire Station Construction Committee, which includes three representatives <br />from Orono and three from Long Lake, as well as a representative from Medina and the Long Lake <br />Fire Chief as non-voting members, has been working for several months to develop a schematic <br />design and budget for the Long Lake fire station project. The Joint Committee presented a <br />recommended schematic design and project budget at a joint meeting of the Orono and Long Lake <br />City Councils held on November 20. 2001. At that meeting, both City Councils approved the <br />recommended schematic design and project budget <br />Both City Councils have expressed an interest in recognizing the Joint Committee for its work, and <br />in indicating their support for the Committee’s work and recommendations. A resolution in support <br />of the Joint Committee’s work and recommendations is attached for Council consideration. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to adopt a resolution in support of the Joint Long Lake Fire Station Construction <br />Committee's work and recommendations.
