Memo <br />To: Lin Vcc <br />Front Jim Morowczynski <br />Date: II •08*01 <br />Subject: Special Event Permit- Spring Preview of Homes <br />The Chief did not recommend the approval of the Spring Preview of Homes due in part to the <br />complaints and issues raised during the last event. These include the issue of parking on Smith <br />and Lyman Ave. and the added trafEc on these roadways. In addition there are public safety <br />concerns regarding traffic and parking even if the permit was approved with the conditions <br />indicated on the prior permit. <br />According to the permit application the event is to be held during the month of Februarv' 200.*!. <br />There is concern that the parking may not be available on Orono Orchard Rd.. This roadway <br />would be snoNvpacked and/or icy with limited visibility due snow plowing. The added traffic, <br />with the addition of a shuttle starting an stopping along the route would cause additional trafllc <br />hazards. <br />There were other zoning issues raised by the neighbors, conducting a public event over private <br />property w ithout permission of the homeowners.
