RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF CLASS 1A NATURAL AREAS <br />WHEREAS, various planed roads within the City of Orono end in the waters <br />of Lake Minnetonka, and <br />WHEREAS, these roads present a management, policy, and development <br />challenge caused by errors of the past and current situations, and <br />WHEREAS, an efficient, workable, expedient, and flexible solution is <br />required, and <br />WHEREAS, it is a top priority of the City of Orono to protect and enhance <br />the quality of Lake Minnetonka <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Of Orono establish <br />a Class IA natural use area designation as a management tool for selected <br />planed roads ending in the waters of Lake Minnetonka. <br />FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Orono would maintain <br />ownership of the areas. Adjoining property owners, schools, and government <br />would benefit and utilize the areas.
