As of this date, 5 of the 8 commercial marinas
have returned their 1978 applications. We have no application from
Gayle's nor from Minnetonka Boat Works. An Incomplete application
from Paul's Landing was received and returned to him for additional
Information on January 5, 1978.
I recommend that these 5 applications be referred to the Planning
Commission for review by the marina committee.with Instructions
for a reasonable deadline for Planning Commission recommendations.
I suggest May 8 as a final date.
Joint Use Docks. All three of the annual joint use applications
have been returned to the City and are attached for your review.
Vayzata Yacht Club - no permanent mooring - 200 ft. dock plus 5
off shore bouys and swlmnlng area (note low
Insurance on line 8).
Minnetonka Power Squadron - no permanent mooring - 20 day use slips
along shore.
Foxhlll Association - 13 permanent moorings - (11 slips, 1 lift,
1 bouy), 96 ft. dock - previous year's license
acknowledged only the 11 slips (in the same
dock layout) even thou^ the lift and bouy were
actually there.
You may wish to consider approval of the joint use docks now, or you
may wish the marina committee to review these also.
COUNCIL - February 23, 1978
Referred commercial marina applications to Marina Comnlttee
with deadline for recommendations back to Council of April 1, 1978.
Also referred Foxhlll homeowner's association application for
study of slip numbers.
