It is your and <br />my understanding that "riparian rights" means the rights to build <br />and/or share in the use of docks, and the rights to launch, retrieve, <br />TOor and store boats on the lakeshore. You and I agreed that it <br />^^®stion (to be decided by the Planning Commission and <br />whether it is appropriate to allow residents <br />of this subdivision the right to walk down and along the lakeshore <br />and en3oy the same in such manner, provided the other riahts de- <br />scribed above are not granted. <br />Assuming that the Planning Commission and Council decide that <br />It IS so appropriate to grant such rights, you and I then discussed <br />what would be the best means of achieving these ends. It was mv <br />suggestion that section 2 of the declaration of protective covenants <br />covering the entire subdivision, which creates a pedestrian easement <br />to the lakeshore, be amended to state specifically: <br />(A) The right granted is for pedestrian access to and from <br />the shore of Long Lake, and for no other purpose; and <br />i
