He stated his main concern <br />was the rezoning proposal. He expressed no objection when the proposal was explained. <br />The Planning Coranission recotnnended approval of the rezoning subject to receipt of <br />the legal description of the area to oe rezOTied. The area rezoned could not be <br />recorded until standard procedures are conpleted. <br />The Planning Commission tabled the preliminary subdivision proposal subject to <br />receipt of reports from State Highway Department and City Engineer. <br />STAF? - October 27, 1977 <br />■ State Highway Departnxmt has not as yet responded to our Truest for coninents on access <br />to the subject property. Tliis issue will be listed as an incorplete item on the agenda <br />for the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for 'vovenber 7, 1977. However, if we do <br />receive a rej»rt prior to this meeting, I would suggest moving this up as an action <br />item for a recormendation to Council. <br />STAFF - Novenber 9, 1977 <br />Still no response from State Highway Department - called ?!r. Joel Katz of the Department. <br />STAFF - December 6, 1977 <br />Received response from State Hwy Dept, regarding access from area <br />properties to Hwy #12. Copy of Mr. Merrltts letter attached. <br />STAFF - Decenber 21, 1977 <br />Called Katz again - said he would get back to property divisions for <br />answers. <br />STAFF - January 31, 1978 <br />After many phone conversations with the State Dept, of Transportation, <br />I finally wrote to them requesting some clarification regarding the <br />status of the small triangular shaped property at the southwest corner <br />of the Rebers property (copy of my letter dated 1/4/78 enclosed). I <br />am also enclosing a copy of the State's response from Mr. Crawford <br />dated 1/17/78. <br />For reference, I am once again enclosing a copy of letter I first <br />received from Mr. Merritt w’hich was dated November 30, 1977. <br />Since all this has transpired, I have received a letter from Mr. Rebers <br />dated 1/12/78 inquiring about the status of his proposal. I responded <br />immediately after receiving State's response (1/23/78). Copies of these <br />letters also are enclosed.
