The cupola is proposed to be located within the central <br />portion of the structure. <br />Pertinent Code Section: <br />1. Section 10.75, Subdivision 1: Height: To permit a cupola to be constructed on the roof of a <br />residence to be 34.5’ where 30’ height is the maximum for the LR-IC zoning district. The code <br />reads as follows: <br />“No structure or building shall exceed 2 'A stories or thirty feet in height except as provided in <br />Section 10.75. Section 10.75, Subdivision 1: Special Provisions. The height limitations imposed <br />by other provisions of this Chapter may be increased by conditional use permit b^ 50 per cent <br />when applied to the following structures: <br />A. Church spires <br />B. Belfries <br />C. Cupolas and domes which do not contain usable space. <br />D. Etc.’ <br />The plans for the new residence includes two cupolas. One on the residence and the other on the <br />garage. The cupola on the garage meets the 30’ height requirement. The cupola on the residence <br />i.< proposed to be 34.5’ in height and 4 ’ X 4 ’ in size. <br />The property is located on Lake Mimietonka. The cupola does not change the lot coverage by <br />sbuctuie or hardcover on the property.
