The use4)f altematives torip-rap to protectshoreline areas is— <br />expected to enhance fisheries and wildlife resources. <br />Goal 8 > Enhance public participation in Diatrict activitiea and provide <br />Informational and educational material to municipalitiea, community <br />groupa, bualneaaea, achoola, developera, contractora and Individuals. <br />The project is consistent with Action 3. It is also intended as a high visibility <br />demonstration of environmentally sensitive and effective methods to protect <br />water quality. It is expected that educational materials, programs and accessible <br />demonstrations will result from the project. <br />Evaluation of Alternatives <br />The overall project is approved and will be implemented with the LCMR funding; <br />and contributions from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the <br />Cities of Minnetonka and Wayzata, and Hennepin County.
