Dec ■INQ <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION cirroF <br />^ 2002 <br />^^PNq <br />Date: 12/09/02 <br />Item No: ^ ^5 <br />Dqiartment Approval*Adrti' listrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Exhibits: <br />DISCUSSION <br />On September 23,2002, the Orono Police Reserves assisted the Long Lake Volunteer Fire <br />Department by helping with trafllc control at a training exercise. <br />On November 4,2002, the Long Lake Fire Department sent a check for $250 to help ofTset costs <br />that the reserves may have. <br />The police department would like council to consider accepting this gift on behalf of the police <br />reserves. <br />The police department and the City of Orono have invited the police reser\ es to the Chria,mas <br />luncheon on December 13,2002 and plan to recognize them for all their hard work at this time. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to accept check in the amount of S2S0 from the Long Lake Fire Department on behalf of <br />the Orono Police Reserves.
