One way
to do this is via a web page.
In 2001, Officer Scott Boris designed a web page for the police department that links to the city
of Orono web page. It is found at Ihttp://www.nronopolice.org.1 It was a great start towards
achieving the above goal, but proved challenging technically and is time intensive.
Eirly in 2002, police and community service officers successfully resolved a case that had
plagued an Orono neighborhood for a period of time. One of the residents expressed gratitude
and offered to assist the department in developing a “marketing" plan. She happens to be
extremely talented in web page design and has graciously offered her services to the department
free of charge.
The police department would like council to consider accepting this offer of assistance by Ms.
Stephanie Grande (Senior Business Analyst, ING Employee Benefits, Office: 612.342.301
COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED
Motion to accept assistance from Ms. Stephanie Grande, for the development of a business
“marketing" plan which includes redesigning the Orono Police Department web page.
