He believed a reputable contractor with the right equipment, who <br />knew how to use boulders could begin sooner than later. <br />Manley inquired whether he should give the City Council two options to review, one with <br />boulders and one with slope. <br />Council Member Murphy usked staff what they viewed as most important, getting the <br />* <br />riprap on the shoreline first or getting the outstanding back issues resolved so that the <br />shoreline could be restored. <br />Although not an engineer, Gaffiron believed that in order to do the riprap, potentially, <br />additional damage would be done to the shore that you need to be working on immediately <br />following that. One would need to be working fi’om the bottom up sequentially. He didn’t <br />believe they could just do the riprap without causing impacts that would need to be <br />immediately followed up on elsewhere. <br />Gary , 1965 Fagemess Point Road, stated that he believed that the riprap could be done <br />from the shoreline or off of a barge firom the water. He indicated they could do the work <br />from above, however, they would totally destroy the shoreline with a bobcat. <br />Gustafson pointed out that he had reviewed the site with a contractor who believed the <br />work could be done firom the ice, or if the right person were to do the job, the same could <br />be accomplished with a backhoe fi^om above. <br />Bill Delay, 19 Fagemess Point Road, commended the applicant for his beautiful building <br />and for keeping the neighbors in the loop. He did, however, have issue with the gravel <br />parking area as it encroaches over his property. He noted that the 8X8 shed impedes his <br />PAGE 34 of 28
