REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />AUG 2 6 2002 <br />DATE: August 22,2002 <br />ITEM NO: <br />f Ut-ORONO <br />Department Approval: <br />Name Ron Moorsc <br />Title City Administrator <br />Administrator Revised: <br />V' <br />Agenda Section: <br />City Administrator's <br />Report <br />Item Description: Transportation Study/ <br />Attached is a proposal from the City ’s consultant engineer, BRA, for a sub area transportation study <br />to determine the traffic impacts of the proposed and planned development in the area west of <br />Willow Drive between Highway 12 and County Road 6, and including the property in the southwest <br />quadrantofHighway 12 and Old Crystal Bay Road. This study is an important element in the City ’s <br />review of the Dahlstrom development proposal, as well as an important tool for planning for future <br />intersection and roadway improvements. The cost of the study is $9,500. The Dahlstrom group has <br />indicated a willingness to pay a portion of the cost. The costs can be funded from the City ’s Public <br />Improvement Revolving Fund. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to authorize BRA to move ahead with the sub area transportation study, at a cost not to <br />exceed $9,500.00, and to amend the Public Improvement Revolving Fund budget to reflect the <br />expenditure. <br />I i <br />iI ! <br />( ‘ <br />:! <br />i <br />I <br />1 <br />:1 <br />• I <br />i
