MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, July 22,2002 <br />6:30 o*clock p.m. <br />*(#15) #02-2809 RICK AND KRISTINE STERLING, 1300 VINE PLACE - VARIANCE - <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4841 <br />Sanscvcrc moved, Murphy seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. , granting an average <br />lakeshorc setback variance to replace a portion of the existing upper level lakeside deck (8* <br />X 42*) and to construct a 2 ’ X10* addition on the lakeside of the residence located at 1300 <br />Vine Place. VOTE: Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL REPORT <br />Sanscvcrc stated that he had spoken to residents of Minnetonka Beach with regard to dock usage <br />issues. <br />Moorse indicated that he was awaiting an email for further guidance on the issue. <br />Sanscvcrc stated that he had spoken to Mike Gaffron about boats that don’t belong at the docks. <br />He suggested this issue be put on a work session agenda for further investigation since there are <br />rules about dock usage. <br />Murphy wished to discuss the arbitrary laws that Minnetonka Beach puts into effect. <br />Mayor Peterson reminded the Commission about the upcoming Park Tour on Monday, July 29, at <br />5:30 P.M. and asked if any Council members, beside her, would be present. While Sansevere <br />could not attend, Murphy indicated that he would check his calendar. <br />PUBLIC SERVICE DIRECTOR’S REPORT <br />*(#16) NORTH ARM LANE STREET PAVING PROJECT <br />A. ORDER FEASIBILITY REPORT • RESOLUTION NO. 4842 <br />Sansevere moved, Murphy seconded, adopting RESOLUTION NO. 4842, Ordering <br />Preparation of a Feasibility Study for the North Arm Lane Paving Project. VOTE: Ayes 3, <br />Nays 0. <br />B. ACCEPT FEASIBILITY REPORT AND SCHEDULE PUBLIC HEARING - <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4843 <br />Sansevere moved, Murphy seconded, adopting RESOLUTION NO. 4843, Receiving Report <br />and Calling for a Public Hearing on the North Arm Lane Paving Project set for August 12, <br />2002, at 7 p.m. VOTE: Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />PAGE 31 of 33
