The cost of replacing the <br />well is $7,372.00. The City has withheld $5,000 from the demolition contractor for the replacement <br />of the well. There is a dispute between the City and the contractor as to which party is at fault for <br />the well sealing. <br />It is recommended that the City pay Mr. Miller the $7,372.00, then work with the demolition <br />contractor to determine how this cost is to be divided between the City and the contractor. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to approve the payment of $7,372.00 to Mr. Ed Miller for the replacement of the well on his <br />property, and to amend the General Fund budget to reflect the expenditure.
