ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Tuesday. May 28,2002______ <br />(GOLF COURSE OPERATION STUDY, Continued) <br />McMurchic continued that any additional synergy with the local park and recreation departments can <br />help as well, by ofTering extension courses. He stated that any advertising the City does needs to <br />capitalize on the renovations and the look of the hidden course, being mindful that the where will <br />always need to be addressed. <br />White suggested changing advertising to reflect the historic aspect of Orono Golf Course. <br />Sanscvcrc moved, White seconded, to approve completion of a project to lengthen hole <br />numbers 1 and 2 at an estimated cost oi $60,000 to be funded from the Golf Course Fund <br />retained earnings and to approve a budget adjustment of $60,000 for the year 2002 Golf <br />Course Capital Outlay Budget. Vote: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Mayor Peterson indicated that patt two of the proposal will be considered in greater detail during the <br />budgeting process. <br />* 13. Purchase of Docks <br />Sansevere moved, Murphy seconded, to approve the purchase of new docks from Mullen <br />Marine Brokerage, Maple Plain Minnesota in the amount of $6,810, to be funded from the <br />year 2002 Park Fund Capital Outlay Budget. Vote: Ayes 5, Nays 0 <br />* 14. Award Contract for Sewer and Water Utility SCADA System <br />Sansevere moved, Murphy seconded, to award the contract for sewer and water utility to <br />Automatic Systems Company, Roseville Minnesota for the installation of a SCADA sy stem. <br />The award to include Base Bid, $108,830 and Alternate No.2, $65,498 for a total contract <br />amount of $174328.00 Vote: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Sansevere moved, Murphy seconded, to approve a budget adjustment for the Year2002 Sewer <br />Fund Capital Outlay Budget in the amount of $129,498 for the Sewer Fund’s prorated share <br />of the Automatic Systems Company contract for the installation of a SCADA system. Vote: <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Sansevere moved, Murphy seconded, to approve a budget adjustment for the Year 2002 Water <br />Fund Capital Outlay Budget in the amount of $44,830 for the Water Fund’s prorated share <br />of the Automatic Systems Company contract for the installation of a SCADA system. Vote: <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0.
