Gappa <br />Titk Director of Public Services <br />Adminbtrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Public Service Director ’s Report <br />Item Description: Golf Course Seasonal Employees <br />Golf Course Seasonal Employees are hired under two different provisions of the PERA rules. <br />Several employees will be hired under the 6-month rule which allows unlimited earnings for a 6- <br />month maximum time period. These are the main employees with the majority of the hours during <br />the season. <br />The remainder of the employees work fewer hours and will be hired under the PERA maximum <br />earnings provision which limits earnings to $425 per month without any restrictions on the number <br />of months worked. <br />The Council previously approved a pay range and seasonal employees for the golf course. When this <br />list of employees was approved in April all of the positions, had not been fliled. We are requesting <br />approval to hire Dan Marsella, Kathleen Smyth, and Paul Goldsmith as a Golf Course Seasonal <br />Employees at an hourly pay rate of $7.50 under the monthly maximum earnings provision of the <br />PERA rules. <br />COUNaL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to hire Dan Marsella as a Golf Course Seasonal Employee at an hourly pay rate <br />of $7.50 under the monthly maximum earnings provision of the PERA rules. <br />Motion to hire Katherine Smyth as a Golf Course Seasonal Employee at an hourly pay rate <br />of $7.50 uiider the monthly maximum earnings provision of the PERA rules. <br />Motion to hire Paul Goldsmith as a Golf Course Seasonal Employee at an hourly pay rate <br />of $7.50 under the monthly maximum earnings provision of the PERA rules. <br />I <br />■ A rt aitei a M
