July 17, August 14, and August 28,2002 4:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Wednesday Night Bassin* Fishing Tournament The fishing tournament is planned to include a weigh-in event at Wayzata Marine for each tournament. Staff has been working with Wayzata Marine to address complaints from a neighboring property owner regarding lighting and noise. The lighting problem is caused by several bright, unshielded lights. The noise problem is cause by a paging system with outdoor speakers. Wayzata Marine has indicated they will resolve the lighting problem by June 7. The City has directed the marina to resolve the noise problem by June 10. The City 's recommended solution to the noise problem is to eliminate the outdoor paging system in favor of a radio or phone-based paging system. Staff recommends the approval of the special event permit include a condition that if the problems regarding lighting and noise are not resolved by the June 7 and June 10 dates, the permit may be revoked.
