As <br />the letter indicates, the legal service rates have not been increased since 1996. The proposal <br />increases rates*by approximately 20%. This calculates to an average of approximately 3% per year <br />over the last seven years. The proposed rates are reasonable and competitive. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to approve the rate of $1,300 per month for general representation, $120 per hour for <br />associate time, and $130 per hour for partner time. <br />-,ii
