MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, April 22,2002 <br />7:00 o’clock p.m. <br />4 <br />COUMnn <br />MAY 1 3 2002 <br />CiTTui miuwo <br />ROLL <br />The Council met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor Barbara <br />Peterson, Council Members Jay Nygard, Jim White, and Richard Flint. Council Member Bob Sansevere <br />was absent. Representing Staff were City Administrator Ron Moorse, Planning Director Mike Gaffron, <br />Assistant City Attorney Sean Simpson, Zoning Administrator Paul Weinberger, Zoning Administrator <br />Wendy Bottenberg, City Engineer Tom Kellogg, Public Services Director Greg Gappa, and Recorder <br />Jackie Young. <br />Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />(#1) Approve/Amend <br />Items 1 lA, 12,14,16,17,18.19,20 were added to the Consent Agenda. <br />Item 21 was removed from the Consent Agenda. <br />Flint moved. White seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />*(#4) Regular Council Meeting of April 8,2002 <br />Flint, White seconded, to approve the minutes of the Regular Citv Council meeting <br />of April 8,2002. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />PARK COM.\IISSION COM.MENTS - Sherokee Use, Representative <br />Use thanked the City Council for the support of the Park Commission this year. Use indicated a lener has <br />been sent to the adjoining property owners of Hackberry regarding the proposed new play equipment and <br />the upcoming public hearing. <br />Isle stated the park tour this year will be held June 3 at 5:30 p.m. <br />Isle stated the Park Commission will be discussing the Lurton property at the ne.xt Park meeting, noting <br />that the Lurtons have requested to be on the agenda and w ill be in attendance at that meeting. <br />The Park Commission selected 15 lake access points for surveying and marking, with the City Council <br />selecting the top 13 access points they would like to sec surveyed this year. <br />PAGE I
