MINITTES OF THE <br />ORONO aTY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, March 25,2002 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />(#17) PLANNING COMMISSION RE-APPOINTMENTS <br />Flint moved. White seconded, to direct Staff to contact Jeanne Mabnsth and Dan KInth regarding <br />their interest in serving an additionai term on the Planning Commission. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />*(#18) FUNDING FOR NAVARRE HOME OWNERSHIP PROGRAM <br />Flint moved. White seconded, to approve funding in the amonnt of $89,550 to assist two eligibie <br />households In purchasing townhome units in the Lake Minnetonka Woods development, as well as <br />to fund the administration of the financial assistance program, such funding to be a temporary <br />loan from the General Fund to the Affordable Housing Grant/Loan Revenue Fund and to be <br />repaid through grants to the City. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />(#19) FIRE STATION PARCEL AGREEMENT <br />Flint questioned why Orono is agreeing to pay the additional expense of the deeper sewer line, which <br />amounts to $70,000. <br />Moorse stated the reason the sewer line is going deeper is to serve properties in Orono. Moorse stated <br />MN/Dot is providing a sewer line which will go to the fire station, but if Orono wants to serve anything <br />west of the fire station, the sewer line needs to go deeper. Moorse stated the money would come out of <br />the sewer fund, which would be reimbursed by hookup charges. <br />Flint moved, Sausevere seconded, to approve the Agreement between the City of Long Lake <br />and the City of Orono with respect to the joint development of a fire station situated within the <br />City of Orono. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />CITY ATTORNEY’S REPORT <br />Tom Barrett, City Attorney, had nothing to report. <br />(#21) LICENSES <br />Flint inquired what a set-up license is. <br />Nygard stated that is where the customer brings in their own bottle of liquor and the business <br />establishment serves the pop to go with the alcohol. <br />Flint moved. White seconded, to approve the following licenses. VOTE: AyesNays 0. <br />Set-Up License: <br />1.
