MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, March 2S, 2002 <br />7:00 o’clock p.m. <br />(Revisions to 2002 Fee Schedule, Continued) <br />Peterson moved, Nygard seconded, to approve and adopt ORDINANCE NO. 217,2"^ SERIES, an <br />Ordinance Amending Section 3.10, Rules and Regulations Relating to Water Service of the City of <br />Orono Municipal Code. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Peterson moved. White seconded, to approve and adopt ORDINANCE NO. 218,2*^ Series, an <br />Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 212,2** Series, an Ordinance Revising the 2002 Fee <br />Schedule—Golf Course Fees and Municipal Water Rates. VOTE: Ayes 3, Nays 2. <br />(#14) SEASONAL WEIGHT LIhUTS - RESOLUTION NO. 4782 <br />Flint stated he is not opposed to what is before the Council tonight, but in his view the City should <br />impose stricter regulations on sanitation trucks, noting they tend to cause problems with the roads. Flint <br />encouraged City Staff to look into this and to come up with some recommendations for regulations. <br />Gappa stated the City needs to notify the sanitation haulers if new restrictions are imposed. <br />Moorse recommended Staff check with I.ong Lake to see what restrictions they impose. <br />Nygard moved, Sansevere seconded, to approve and adopt RESOLUTION NO. <br />a Resolution Establishing Seasonal Weight Restrictions on Orono Public City Streets. <br />VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />CITY AD.MIMSTRATOR’S REPORT <br />*(#15) PAY REQUEST - LONG LAKE FIRE STATION <br />Flint moved, White seconded, to approve the payment of the invoices from Cahners in the total <br />amount of $529.38. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />(#16) PLANNING COM^USSION APPOINTMENT <br />Sansevere moved, Peterson seconded, to accept the resignation of Bill Stoddard from the <br />Planning Commission effective March 30,2002, and to appoint Marc Fritzler to fill the vacancy <br />on the Planning Commission.
