L. <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.56, SUBDIVISION 16(C)(1), <br />SECTION 10.56, SUBDIVISION 16 (CK6), <br />SECTION 10.56, SUBDIVISION I6(L)(I); <br />FILE NO. 01-2709 <br />WHEREAS. Richard R. Shull and Anne M. Shull (hereinafter "the applicants") are <br />the oNVTiers of the property located at 2285 French Lake Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter <br />"the City") and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 4, Block 1. and Outlet C, Johnston's French Lake Second Addition. Hennepin <br />County, Minnesota (hereinafter “the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for a variance to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10.56, Subdivision 16 (C)(1) to permit structure within 150' of a Natural <br />Environment Lake. Section 10.56, Subdivision 16(L)( 1) to permit 3,830.25 s.f. (23.5%) of hardcover <br />in 0-75' setback area where 4,381 s.f. (26.9%) exists and 0 s.f. (0%) is allowed and Section 10.56, <br />Subdivision 16(C)(6) to permit the encroachment of 50' and 75' into the average lakeshore setback <br />for construction of a three stall garage to the east end of the residence, a new entry way over existing <br />steps and a cantilevered bay window. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />1<1ND1NGS <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #01-2709. <br />The property is located in the RR-IB, Single Family Rural Residential Zoning <br />District, where 2 acres is the minimum lot area. The property consists of <br />approximately 1.5 acres. <br />The City Council approved Resolution No. 4695 for variances to permit a two stall <br />garage and entry way to the existing residence. <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />-----------
