Gappa <br />Title Director of Public Services <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Public Services Director’s Report <br />Item Description: Approve Quotation for Sewer Service Repair <br />The Council previously authorized the completion of an assessment project for repair of this sewer <br />service because of the difficulties associated with this project. The house is located in the southwest <br />quadrant of the Highway 12/ Old Crystal Bay road intersection. The property owner has signed a <br />waiver agreeing to be assessed for this project. The city obtained quotations for completion of this <br />project and the lowest quotation was from M&P Utilities, Maple Lake Minnesota ,in the amount of <br />$8,600. This work will consist of directionally boring a new service under old Crystal Bay Road. <br />The assessment will be for a total of $9,460. This includes a 10% city administration charge. The <br />assessment w ill be for a period of five years at an interest rate of 6.5%. T1; assessment roll will be <br />approved after the city pa>s the contractor and will include interest charges from the date of <br />adoption. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to accept quotation from M4&P Utilities in the amount of $8,600 for repair of sewer ser\ ice <br />at 595 Old Crystal Bay with the project costs to be assessed to the property owner. <br />I
