Finney (hereinafter <br />"the applicanta") are owners of the property located at 4195 Highwood <br />Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally <br />described as follows: <br />Lot 26, 27, and 28, Highwood Lake Minnetonka, Hennepin County, <br />Minnesota (hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHBRBA8, the applicants have applied to the City for a <br />variance to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivision 1 (B) to <br />permit construction of a major addition, replacement of complete <br />foundation beneath the existing residential structure and possible <br />replacemnt of deck and 3*-season porch, portions of which are located <br />in front of the average lakeshore setback line. <br />Minnesota t <br />MOW, THBRBPORB, BB IT RBSOLVBD by the City Council of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File 11628. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-IB Zoning District <br />requiring 43,560 s.f. or 1 acre in area. The property consists <br />of 38,550 s.f. or .88 acres. <br />3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on <br />March 18, 1991 and March 20, 1991 and recommended approval of the <br />proposed variances based upon the following findings and <br />hardships: <br />a)The shape of shoreline as property is located on a <br />point. <br />Steep topography along west side limits any view Impact <br />upon lakeview windows of residence on adjacent <br />property. <br />Page 1 of 4
