Council was advised <br />that Mrs. Standa indicated via voice mail on Novemt^r 10 that the deck will be removed, and that <br />they are moving and do not wish to pursue the application further. <br />City staff inspected the site on December 4 and confirmed that the deck has osi been removed. The <br />property is for sale. The 60-day review deadline has already been extended once, and the 120-day <br />review period runs out on December 24. Council action is necessary on December 8 to either grant <br />partial approval of the deck per the Planning Commission recommendation, or deny the application. <br />A 'partial approval ’ resolution is attached as Exhibit A of the October 24 memo. This resolution <br />denies the 8' x 12* deck but allows a smaller 4* x T walkway to remain to service the existing patio <br />door of the boathouse. <br />A ‘denial ’ resolution is attached as Exhibit (a) of this memo. This resolution is in line with the <br />stated intent of the applicants, and requires total removal of the 8* x 12* deck. It requires removal <br />of the deck by January 1, 2004 and modification or blocking of the patio door if the resulting <br />distance to the ground exceeds Building Code standards for an access door. <br />i <br />i
