A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 78-282, AND SECTION 78-305, SUBDIVISION B <br />FILE NO. 03-2953 <br />WHEREAS, Ravinond K. Newkirk and Nylene J. Newkirk, husband and <br />wife (hereinafter “the applicants”) are the owners of the property located at 1489 <br />Shoreline Drive within the City of Orono (hereinafter the “City”) and legally described as <br />follows: <br />Lots 3 and 4. N J Stubbs Subdivision Lot No 2. Hennepin County. Minnesota <br />(hereinafter the “property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant? have made application to the City of Orono <br />for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-282 to allow a hardcover <br />level of 35.7% where 25% is normally allowed in order to construct a new home. <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono <br />for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-305, Subdivision B to allow a <br />new residence to be construcuted on a lot with substandard lot area and lot width. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />Orono, Minnesota: <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />FINDINGS <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #03-2953. <br />The property is located in the I.R-IA Zoning District, which requires a <br />minimum lot are of 2.0 acres and 200' of width. <br />The Planning Commission reviewed this application at a public hearings <br />held on October 20, 2003 and November 17, 2003 and recommended
