S 9.34 <br />B. The Chief of each Fire Department, or his <br />authorized representative, within the Fire Service District of said <br />Fire Department. The Fire Chief shall retain primary <br />responsibility and authority for determining response to fire calls <br />and for fire scene command. <br />C. The Chief of the Police Department or his <br />officers. The Police Chief shall be responsible for coordinating <br />enforcement policy and activities between the respective Fire <br />Service Districts and between the Fire Chiefs and the Building <br />Official. <br />D. The Building Official or his authorized <br />representative. The Building Official shall be responsible for <br />coordinating enforcement of the Fire Code with enforcement of the <br />State Building Code and the Zoning Chapter of the City Code. <br />Subd. 5. Permits and Fees. <br />A. Wherever the Fire Code or this Section requires <br />a permit, applications for said permit shall be made to the Build­ <br />ing Official with ail information required, and payment of a permit <br />application fee as fixed and determined in accordance with City <br />Code Section 1.05. Application fees shall be non-refundable. <br />B. The Building Official shall refer all Fire Code <br />permit applications to the Fire Chief of the applicable Fire Ser­ <br />vice District who shall perform required pre-permit inspections. <br />The Fire Chief shall upon request by the Building Official supply a <br />written report to the Building Official prior to permit issuance. <br />C. All fire Code permits shall be issued by the <br />Building Official upon the advice of the Fite Chief and subject to <br />such conditions of approval as may be required by the Fire Chief, <br />except that fireworks permits pursuant to Article 78 shall be <br />issued by the Police Chief. One such copy of all permits so issued <br />shall be delivered to the Fire Chief for his record. <br />D. No Fire Code permit shall be issued if said <br />permit would authorized an activity or use of property or <br />structures contrary to any provision of the Fire Code, the State <br />Building Code or the zoning Chapter of the City Code. <br />1 <br />m <br />Subd. 6. New Materials. The City Administrator, Police <br />Chief, Building Official and the Chief of every Fite Department <br />protecting a Fire Service District of the City shall together act <br />as a committee to determine and specify, after giving affected <br />persons an opportunity to be heard, any new materials, processes or <br />occupancies which shall require permits, in addition to those now <br />enumerated in the Fire Code.
