• ^ <br />MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMNHSSION MEETING <br />Monday, November 20,2000 <br />Lindquist inquired whether the existing garage will also be removed. <br />Johnson stated it will be. <br />Hawn inquired whether the deck has been included in the hardcover calculations. <br />Weinberger stated the deck has been included. V.'rir.b::A** •“ •••• •»• — •• ^ < <br />;e a <br />level deck and would not be considered structural coveraoe. <br />Stoddard commented in order to be consistent the Planning Commission should look at requiring <br />the Applicant to reduce the amount of structural coverage to 1,500 square feet. <br />Hawn stated that was her only concern with this application as well. Hawn noted die Planning <br />Commission has typically not granted \aiiances to structural coverages in the past <br /># <br />Lindquist inquired what the size of the garage will be. <br />Johnson stated it will be 22.5 feet. <br />Lindquist inquired whether the garage could be reduced by one foot. <br />• • <br />Johnson commented he would be w illing to reduce the garage by one foot in order to keep the <br />front entrjway. <br />Stoddard suggested that approval be made contingent upon structural coverage not exceeding <br />1,500 square feet. <br />m <br />There were no public comments relating to this application. <br />Stoddard moved, Hawn seconded, to recommend approval of Application #2623, <br />1926 Fagerness Point Road, granting of a variance to permit structure to be located within <br />• • • * * <br />75 feet of the lakeshore and a variance to permit 2,079 square feet of hardcover where none <br />is allow ed, with the understanding the structural coverage will not exceed 1,500 square feel. <br />subject to the conditions outlined in the November 13,2000 Planner’s Report. <br />VOTE: Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br />(#2) #2625 Morgan K.
