Section 10.03, Subd. 9(B) & (D): Accessory Building Location & Height: No detached <br />garages or other accessory buildings shall be located nearer the front or street lot line than the <br />principal building on that lot. No accessory building shall exceed the height of the principal <br />building, nor shall it exceed 30* in height. (Request: 1 o permit a 408 s.f. detached garage <br />closer to the front property line than the principal residence). <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />Planning Commission recommended by a 5 to 0 vote to: <br />l o approve the requested variance to construct a 239 s.f. (11.9’ x 20.1 ’) detached garage closer to <br />the front property line than the principal residence, with the following conditions: <br />1. Building permit application must be made for residing of the existing detached garage at <br />the same time application is made for the new detached garage; <br />2. I he canvas covered shed must be removed from the property prior to building pennit <br />application since it is not a definable structure by building code: and <br />3. fhe two existing metal sheds exist without a building permit and must be removed from <br />their current location on the lot prior to building permit application for the detached <br />garage.
