The complainant states that the flowing <br />facts establish PROBABLE CAUSE <br />Your Complainant is a supervisory official with the Orono Police Department and in that <br />capacity has reviewed the report of Officer Tony Wittke. aiso" with the Orono Police <br />Department, whereupon he learned the following: <br />Officer Wittke’s report states that on 26, 2002 he conducted alcohol compliance <br />checks. This was done in follow-up to a letter dated June 6, 2002 to all liquor license <br />holders in the cities patrolled by the Orono Police Department. Officer Wittke recruited a <br />Joseph Patrick Lee, date of birth 2-1-82. Joseph Patrick Lee was to enter premises and if <br />asked for his identification was required to produce his driver’s license which states in <br />bold across the top Minnesota Driver’s License - Under 21. On July 26, 2002 at <br />appro.ximately 3:35 p.m. Joseph Patrick Lee entered the Narrows Saloon located at 3380 <br />Shoreline Drive in the City of Orono, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota. Joseph <br />Patrick Lee approached the bar and ordered a Bud Light on tap. The bartender did not <br />question his age or ask for identification. She then sold him the Bud Light tap. Officer <br />Wittke then entered the bar and Joseph Lee identified the bartender to him and she was <br />iilentified as Kara Jean Thill. <br />THEREFORE, Conifdainant requests that said Defendant, subject to bait or conditions {^release be: <br />f/J arrested or that other lawful steps be taken to obtain defendant's appearance in ctHtrt; or <br />(2) detained, if already in custody, pending further proceedings; <br />and that said Defendant otherw ise be dealt with according to law. <br />COM^AINAVrS ftd^TURE: <br />t\treby approxe this Complaint. <br />COMPLAINANT S NAME: <br />Inv.
