A RESOLUTION APPROVING EXTENSION OF <br />JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT OF THE <br />WEST HENNEPIN RECYCLING COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, the cities of Greenfield, Independence, Long Lake, Loretto, Maple <br />Plain, Medina, and Orono entered into a Joint Powers Agreement under the authority of <br />Minnesota Statute 471.59 in order to create the West Hennepin Recycling Commission for the <br />purpose of establishing, administering, and operating a curbside recycling program in each of the <br />member cities; and <br />WHEREAS, the West Hennepin Recycling Commission has recommended <br />extension of the Joint Powers Agreement through December 31,2007 to coincide with the date <br />of the curbside recycling contract with E-Z Recycling. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Orono, Mimicsota that the Joint Powers Agreement of the West Hennepin Recycling <br />Commission be approved and extended through December 31, 2007. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a rc:.ular meeting <br />held this 22nd day of November, 2004. <br />Barbara A.
